Of Dragon and Popcorn

They were watching a movie. Not something romantic: it was an anime movie. John had his arm around Elizabeth's shoulders. They were close. The theater was crowded, mainly with children, and the smell of popcorn was filling the air. But they enjoyed themselves anyway; they were together and that was all that counted.
John was thrilled: in the movie, the young hero was flying a dragon. And as the music went on, he could feel the same rush of adrenaline that filled his veins while piloting a puddle jumper or an x-302.
"I wish I had a dragon like this, you know" he whispered to Elizabeth as if it was a confidence.
"Really? Why?" She answered smiling.
"So that I would take you for a ride just like that kid did with his girl, and I would share with you how it feels like when I'm up there."
He kissed her. Then Elizabeth looked him in the eyes and replied:
"I wish you had a dragon too." Before kissing him again.
